15 + times to the Amazon and 2 snakes In all the times I've been to the Amazon I have seen just 1 snake in the wild alive on land and one in the river. Its a misconception that every place you go you will be seeing snakes behind every leaf. The wild things in the jungle are like the wild things here, they are as afraid of you as you are of them.
